LCI's Thin-film Dryers, the Vertical "CP", Horizontal "D" Dryer, and the Combi Dryer (Vertical and Horizontal designs together), are being used in a multitude of installations worldwide. They can be heated by steam or hot oil, and can be operated semi-batch-wise or continuously at atmospheric pressure or under vacuum.
LCI Dryers require no sweep gas. These dryers are particularly suited for heat-sensitive products which must be carefully dried in a short time under vacuum.
The Reactotherm® and the Rovactor® can be operated continuously or batch-wise with residence times ranging from a few minutes to several hours. Units consist of a horizontal shell and a rotor with segmented discs. The Reactotherm adds mixing bars and stationary mixing hooks to provide intensive mixing and kneading. Heat is transferred to the product from the body jackets and the segmented rotor using steam or another thermal fluid.
